Biography:

Marilyn joined Proud Ground in September 2024 and brings deep experience in fundraising, communications, and partnership building for mission-driven organizations. She is known for her big-picture thinking, ability to translate mission into compelling stories, and talent for bringing people together around shared goals to create lasting impact.

Before Proud Ground, Marilyn served as Associate Director at National Jewish Health, where she secured major and planned gifts across nine states to advance research and ensure care for patients regardless of their ability to pay. Throughout her career, she has driven growth in revenue, partnerships, and awareness for healthcare, higher education, the performing arts, animal welfare, and K–12 organizations.

Originally from the East Coast, Marilyn holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Oregon. With lived experience as a single mother who worked hard to make ends meet, she is deeply passionate about expanding access to homeownership and understands firsthand the pride, stability, and opportunity that owning a home creates for families.
