Required Homebuyer Course Before Closing on Your Home

You are required to complete an 8-hour homebuyer education class before your closing. The course fee is waived as part of your Proud Ground registration.

After you finish the class, meet with your homeownership counselor to discuss what you learned and to ask any questions you may have.

Choose a Course Provider

  1. Proud Ground

You may choose to take the homebuyer education class offered by Proud Ground through our vendor, Framework. This is an asynchronous class, which means it is pre-recorded, so you can take it at your convenience.

Through May 31, 2025, there is a $75 fee to take this class. Beginning June 1, 2025, the course fee is covered through your Proud Ground registration.

2. A Partner Organization

Several organizations in our community offer homeownership classes that count toward the course requirement. Follow the links below to explore your options. Please note that as of June 1, 2025, any fees will be covered through your Proud Ground registration.
