A BHCD - Proud Ground & African American Alliance for Homeownership Partnership
There are at least two things we all know about Portland: Our schools are in trouble and housing prices are out of control.
However, we also know that Portland is innovative, we are, after all, the City That Works - and one way our city works is through the Schools, Families & Housing Initiative. In this partnership, the City of Portland (via BHCD) is providing funding to Proud Ground and AAHA (among other entities) to assist with homebuyer subsidies to help make homeownership more affordable for moderate income households - and to help get families invested in neighborhood schools.
The funding specifically targets programs that provide the full spectrum of homebuyer services, from marketing and outreach to post-closing services - a perfect fit for Proud Ground. We look forward to introducing this new batch of homeowners in the near future!
