BuildingTogether: A Proud Ground Renovation Project
The Housing Authority of Portland faced a challenge. With dwindling public resources, they could no longer afford to maintain a portfolio of single-family houses that were scattered throughout the city. But those houses were serving an important purpose: providing affordable homes to Portland families.Thats where our unique partnership was born. Proud Ground saw a solution in purchasing the homes, renovating them, and offering them to moderate-income, first-time homebuyers at affordable prices. And, due to Proud Grounds unique homeownership program, these homes will be affordable for generations to come.
