She transitioned from small business ownership to nonprofit work. Settling in Portland in 2020, Alma's alignment with Proud Ground's mission motivated her. Her experiences in Mexico and the US have shown her the importance of equitable access to health, food security, and housing for thriving communities. Alma is committed to breaking barriers, nurturing relationships, and helping people achieve homeownership dreams. She brings a rich business background, entrepreneurial skills, and a passion for philanthropy to the Proud Ground team. Alma enjoys crafting, journaling, and exploring the outdoors with her Boston Terrier, Lola-Love.
